Last Wednesday, a 55-year-old man in the very decent town of Amersfoort, Utrecht was fined by the police for walking around his house – curtains open Dutch-style, I assume – naked and visibly so. It was the third time – oh dear! – the man was seen doing his thing by the person who called the police. (Was it nicer the first two times?)
He was fined with indecent exposure. I can’t stop myself from saying that maybe if it had been a decent looking woman, the cops would have been alerted much later if not at all.

So far, 4,000 people have signed up for a yet to be determined nude photo shoot by Spencer Tunick on Sunday, 3 June sometimes early in the morning in downtown Amsterdam. The world-famous American photographer is known for his group photos of naked people in public spaces. Tunick already had a shoot this year in a bulb field in Schermerhorn, North Holland, but now he says his Amsterdam dream will come true. I believe it is possible to still sign up.
Tunick is happy that so many people have signed up for his project in Amsterdam.

Last Tuesday night, two men climbed into a hoist vehicle and stripped. The neighbours got annoyed and called the police and fire brigade, who couldn’t get them down because the hoist vehicle’s controls didn’t work. The rescue services were called, a ladder was extended and the two men were brought down safely. The men were extremely ungrateful and aggressive towards the rescuers, who calmed them down with a faceful of pepper spray. Then one man jumped into the canal and the firemen got him out with a boat. Both were arrested for being drunk, stoned and disorderly.
