A while back we told you about a Dutch vlogger filming a creepy Belgian ghost tunnel, and now the trend of ‘extreme vlogging’ has produced a nocturnal romp around the Circuit Park Zandvoort located in the dunes of Zandvoort, North Holland near the North Sea.
Although Insetti and Mister D. of the No Guts, No Glory crew tells their viewers not to try this themselves, they show parts of the track to prove they’re not just walking down an ordinary street. One of the vloggers kicks off the video by tearing his pants jumping the fence to get to the track. Oh, and there’s a joke about skid marks, ha ha.
For the rest, calling this ‘extreme vlogging’ when it is just trespassing while filming is a bit much. The worse case scenario would be getting caught by the cops and paying a fine, right?
A day later Visser, for whom this was the first race in a real car, had to give up due to technical problems. In both races the girl from Dronten drove an Attack Praga R4 GT1, a Czech brand.
Visser had already built a name for herself in international kart racing, and hopes to one day progress to Formula One.
Sixteen is also the age at which American Danica Patrick, arguably the most famous female race car driver at the moment, switched from karts to Formula Ford (a British category).
The Forze IV, the first formula race car in the world that runs on hydrogen fuel cells was unveiled on 9 July by Delft University of Technology in The Hague for everyone to see.
The Forze IV is lightweight with two electric motors powered by hydrogen fuel cells and can do 0 to 100 km in 5 seconds. The one downside for the people who watched the unveiling is that the motor doesn’t go vroooooom.
Today the Forze team will be at the UK’s Silverstone race track for the Formula Student Championship where young engineers from around the world compete with their sustainable and innovative creations. On 16 August the Forze IV will attempt to break the world’s speed record for hydrogen fuel cell powered car on the Prinses Beatrixlaan in Delft.

On Friday, 16 November a group of 36 blind and sight-impaired will test drive cars at the racing circuit in Assen. Under the supervision of driving school instructors, the blind will learn all about driving cars. “Some people became blind later in life and want to have a go at driving a car. Other people believe it is a chance to fulfil a dream of having control over a car and get a feel for driving,” according to a spokesperson.
On the world famous car show Top Gear, a man called Billy Baxter, a British soldier who lost his sight after contracting a rare disease in Bosnia, sent a letter to the show and said he could drive round the track faster than this one guy with sight who wasn’t very good at it.

The organisers of the Langedijker beddenrace (Langedijk Bed Race) want to boost participation by pushing their bed from the Eiffel Tower in Paris to the Frisian town of Noord-Scharwoude (Langedijk). On August 17, Michel Smit and Siem de Groot plan to cross that distance in time for the bed race back in Noord-Scharwoude on August 25. In the heyday of the Langedijker beddenrace, about 15 years ago, some 125 couples participated in the race, although nowadays it’s more like 65. Smit and de Groot plan to also make into the Guinness Book of Records with their tour.
